The DTB logo

Who came up with its design ?
Devin ? Travis Smith ?
Either way, it's a pretty good idea, or a nice luck, to blend a guimbarde with the DTB letters.
And symmetrical logos are great, more... duh... "charismatic" (though SYL's logo is awesome too, red is better  ).
If there's any trivia about the logo, how it came to be (if there was countless roughs before the perfect idea or something), feel free to share it^^

(And thanks for the answer aboot Japan^^)

And the DTB logo is great. Simple, straight, clear... Beautiful!!

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing how Geoff ties the logo in with the new album. I studied design for a while and I can't think of a better design job than doing the album cover for one of your favourite artists. That's also a fair bit of pressure!

Geoff's the man for the job though and I know he'll put his heart and soul into making it great.

If anyone's seen Ryan's review of Synchestra, there's a footnote about the new artwork

Is the logo exactly the same for Synchestra or has it 'evolved, any? Anyone have any idea?

Yup. The design was mine..It was originally done for the DTB back cover (it's original form). Geoff has given it different flavors over time.

I shall! I'd pay top dollar for a print of A Natural Disaster, among others. Something like what Niklas Sundin from Dark Tranquillity has done:

But he's using cafepress.com and I'm not sure their quality is very top-notch.

Arf, lol
Well it's not exactly a guimbarde (the T should be reversed I think to look exactly like one, or for one to generate any sound), but it makes me think of it anyway^^ (maybe cuz' in France there used to be a TV cartoon with a guy playing this instrument endlessly).

Well good job anyway ! And to Geoff' too^^
