Strange how we went from IR8 to cats. It's almost the third thread where this happened!

If you got the tape, how much would it cost me the get my hands on a copy?
No. Of course not. And the tape cost me $85 about 6 years ago or so. Most would find that fairly insane.

Ir8 Vs Sexoturica
is that the same thing?
Yeah. Newsted has always done these weird little weekend jam things (see HERE for the list). The most famous being Quarteto da Pinga with Robb Flynn (Machine Head) and Andreas Kisser (Sepultura). It created quite a buzz back in the day. Most were only released in very limited quantity on cassette, and given stupid names. Nothing really official about any of it. But I guess demand made him put a few out on CD a couple years ago. The IR8 vs. Sexoturica was a split CD of those two projects.
As for the IR8 tape, I've said it before here, it's not very good. The vocals are retarded, totally goofy quasi-death metal vocals. But the music is cool in a lot of parts. It basically sounds like a tape written and recorded in two daysâ€â€which is what it exactly is. But a cool collectors item. The Tree of the Sun project that Devin worked on, however, sounds really cool. Sadly there's only a short clip available. Devin was also involved in the Blastula & The Satanitones, too.
All three of those projectsâ€â€IR8, Tree of the Sun, and Blastula & The Satanitonesâ€â€as the websites says, were conceived, created, and recorded live October 12-17, 1995. Three projects conceived, created and recorded in 5 days? Going by IR8, I don't expect the other two to be mind-blowing. Haha. I'd like to hear the other two, though.
Samples HERE in Real Audio. I really wanna hear Tree of the Sun, dammit!
EDIT: Fuck me! What is Filthy Young Impalors? Listen to the vocals. That has got to be Devin! Sounds just like him! I've never heard of this before.
