My turn to whore some moozik.

Cyfic = my Drum & Bass/Dubstep/General-Electronic-Music project. Its only a baby so I haven't got much (one track...), plus I'll be focusing on DnB most to start off with.

Obviously this isn't exactly the perfect place to be whoring this kinda stuff, but there are enough fans of this sort of music on here, and those who aren't seem to be open minded anyways.

Cool! Fanks for listening :)

I tend to feel that my take on DnB or whatever is in some way affected by the fact I've grown up with such a "metal" background. A lot of Dubstep/DnB that I'm hearing from some of the "Big Guns" is often musically just... chord progressions, some wobble and a beat. But when you've listened to Prog rock/metal - its hard to just settle for that... So I at least like to try and add cool melodies and interesting muziks, or just nice ambience and atmospheric-ness and stuff. Blah blah blah...

Cheers dude.

I just used Reason 4 for this, with some other stuff here and there (SD2.0 for the snare roll sample thing at the start/in the drop) and some other stuff for (my not so great) mastering.

I wanted to just get the initial melodies/structure done in Reason and then export the separate tracks and mix in Pro Tools, but the mix I had going in Reason with compression and limiters n stuff, it was all interacting with each other too much and wouldn't have sounded as good if I had done that... so I just stuck with Reason for most of it.

I've got Reason 5 now, so I'm gonna have a play with that... but for whatever I do next don't want to stick with it. I don't like its filters, or distortion, or reverbs/delays. (Well, Reason 4's anyway, not tried 5 yet)

Again, thanks for listening :)
