Original post:

So...
As some of you know, I like to think of myself as a musician-- and hopefully I'm not that delusional about it-- I play most normal 'rock instruments' and sing, and I am a trained recording engineer: Swimfail has been my personal industrial rock/metal/grunge/etc. project for the past four or five years now. "Vermin" is the fourth and final studio album I've created and released independently, and I've finally decided to let the project go and move on.

The album blends heavy industrial rock and metal with catchy melodic hooks, dense layers of samples, live instrumentation and whatever else crawled its way into the mix. I've spent about three months working on it quite steadily and I am utterly drained from the process.

You can grab the album from the music section of Swimfail.com:

Hard copies should be available in the future as well. :)

I must say it really impressed me, the production is stellar. Damager, of course, is fuckin intense. The vocal contrast through the song (album) reminds me of Queens of the stone age, but the precision of everything and the dirty industrial sound reminds me of ministry. These are definitely good things. Awesome and thanks for sharing.

It said it was a corrupted file...guess I'll have to try again. My connection sucks. 56k.

I downloaded Addicted no problem when it leaked... :(

Terribly sorry, I knew I'd break some downloads when that happened... basically I had to re-upload the entire thing to fix a couple issues with the mastering, just kind of hoped it wouldn't interrupt any downloads. Sorry, it should work just fine now. :)

Wiseblud: Thanks, good things indeed! Glad you enjoyed the production too, it was mastered in one go at 6 am after an all nighter and complete ear fatigue. I don't know why I did that but I seem to have lucked out with it!

You can now watch a ten minute behind-the-scenes "making of" segment detailing the techniques and equipment used to create Vermin:

Part one

Part two

Also bump because I honestly think this is my best work to date in this genre and really wants to be heard. I dislike just saying it outright, but I think this is really quality stuff; I've put a huge amount of work into it, please give it a listen if you can. Swimfail's always been pretty overlooked so I'd just like to get this final effort 'out there' as much as I can. Thanks.
