Instrumental time. It is inspired by the first well documented UFO sighting in Edo period Japan. Enjoy and feel free to leave feedback.

So that's where the tentacle porn came from.

I like it, has nice cinematic feeling. Strings are cool, and the saw-toothy lead is just spiffy - are these from some softsynths or sampled?

Everything is softsynths, although the drums are a sampled Japanese drum "kit" for lack of a better word. I found some nice free Asian VST instruments with a google search. The sawtoothy lead is a crappy guitar synth that only sounds good when mixed with another guitar tone or not meant to sound like a guitar at all.

Thanks for listening and commenting.

Japanese Tentacle Porn..... I think I'll have sushi for lunch today. :D

I've tried to find some guitar synth VST out of curiosity and indeed modelling ones sounded weird, I guess unless it's some large multisampled instrument it would sound that way (though if you have a guitar, screw the VSTis and multisample it yourself :)).

Yeah this is the slayer plugin and it sounds like horse shit . No vibrato, bends sound awful and artificial. Cant palm mute without using a whole different type of instrument Sounds somewhat good with higher notes. I thought it sounded just enough like a guitar that it can be used out of context and seem cool. I was going to put actual guitar to the song but it sounded too lame and out of place. It amazes me that they haven't got the modeling thing down. As far as multisampling goes, that is a great freaking idea, I will get to googling on that one. That would be handy for precision's sake to save many many takes trying to be as perfect as the midi.

Yes I actually did have sushi for lunch.
