Haha I'm not one to complain about gain... Nah I dunno, it's just ALOT you know, instead of the more "lighter" guitars on Hyperdrive, maybe if you turned down the volume on the backing rhythm tracks or something?

He made the cover his own. Nothing wrong with that. Just about every cover I've ever done, I've done something different than the original, no matter how minute. It makes it feel less like a copy and more like a tribute with your own twist on it.

Good job dude. The drums sounds kind of weak though.

I agree with the chugging rhythm guitar, it just sounds a bit loud in the mix (and the melody guitar too quiet). Just a little detail, sounds great overall. By the way, I deleted the duplicate topic with no replies in the personal music section and moved this one there.

As what's been said so far, it's a great cover, but the rhythm guitars are "competing" a bit with the melody, which can be distracting. I also agree that the drums are too far down in the mix and could definitely use a little beefing up. However, thess are niggling points to ponder for the future. As for what you've done with this cover, I really thought it was aces.

I kinda like the chugging! It's different from the original, but it works just as well. Gets a tad repetitive after a while though, since there's only 1 riff in the song really.

And to be honest, I'm not a fan of your kickdrum sound.
