Here is my metal band : HYPERDUMP

HYPERDUMP was formed in the summer of 2007 when four musiciens from various metal bands came together to work on a new and ambitous project. They immediately began to compose and record trial pieces with the objective of bringing together the strength of groups such as STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, the off-the-wall approach of FAITH NO MORE and the progressive spirit of DREAM THEATRE. The group has varied influences including their own previous groups and others such as IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH and GOJIRA. HYPERDUMP's musicis personal, melodic and without boundries.

The only thing that doesn't get me are the vocals, it's something about the style, "mammoth style" I believe it's called..?

Very cool sound! Definitely hearing the SYL and Gojira influences. If there's one thing I could suggest, though (and I do suggest this a lot), I'd say ease up on the mastering compression there. It's all very squashed and I sort of tune it out after awhile with no dynamics to speak of, which is a shame because I really, really dig you guys' songwriting. I'm a big supporter of stopping the loudness war though, so take it as you will. Good job overall

About the sound, for the recording of our first album we're gonna try to dissociate from all that's currently being done in metal. Something cleaner and soft but staying powerful (as some post rock bands like Sigur Rós can sound for example)...
