You can now buy all three Vortech albums as FLAC files from TheGround.com! Each album costs 3,99 euros / 5.74 USD and here's the direct links:

Update, as of 2009:
TheGround no longer distributes CDs and FLACs, but you can still buy the albums as mp3 there. You can also download them for free here: http://www.vortechmusic.com/?page=releases

http://www.theground.com/catalog/artist ... anguage=en - Wasteland

The same payment options (PayPal, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, etc) are available as before.

The artwork for the albums can be downloaded here: http://www.vortechmusic.com/?page=art

And in other news, I've almost finished making the backing tracks (synths, electronics, drums etc) so we can soon start playing some live shows with Matti ;) I'm going to record the shows, so hopefully I can get some new live material available :gun1:

Important news!

The distributor that I used to sell Vortech CDs is ending business at the end of this year, and because of that I've made some very special price changes for Vortech albums (CD, mp3 and FLAC) at the site:

CD - 7,99 EUR (10 USD)
Full mp3 album - 1,99 EUR (2.5 USD)
Full FLAC album - 1,99 EUR (2.5 USD)

So, be quick and order while there's still stock available ;) (not many left!)

I'm currently starting up the studio sessions for guitar and bass recording :) Should take about a week or so, since I also tab the songs (text and Guitar Pro) at the same time. After that it's time to start writing the lyrics and then record them. The next album should be finished well before summer, but I can't tell an exact date because there's some uncertainty if we have a good place to record the vocals. Hopefully things will clear out well.

As for the songs, you can hear three instrumental demo versions in full at Myspace and ReverbNation, and the album will also feature 8 additional songs with a nice amount of variety between them. Bloodbath in space? Scar Symmetry on steroids? Ministry goes Death Metal? Lots of fast stuff, lots of electronics and a very futuristic feel to it :) No ambient stuff on this one, but there's still lots of ambience in the songs themselves.

And finally, I've been asking around for some live gig possibilities, and if things lock into place, we should have 3 - 5 gigs this year.

PS.
The band website has also received a small touch-up, with lots of new content and of course a new studio diary: http://www.vortechmusic.com

First gig confirmed for 2009! If some of you are visiting central Finland this summer, come see the show at Club Lupi in Oulu on 12 June ;) Fatal Sound Project also plays there: http://www.myspace.com/fatalsoundproject

Hopefully there's a few more shows coming up too.

Here's a new song from the upcoming album:

You can vote for it there. It's a bit more mellow song amidst the extreme stuff, enjoy ;)
