Yo dogggs!

My band has recorded some new shizzle and I'm hoping that you'll rip us to shreds so we can improve our musak by focusing on our many flaws. 'Tis hard to get honest feedback from friends. We only have one song recorded. It's pretty weird but fun. The chorus reminds of Rush so I tried to get a weird old skool guitar sound. It didn't really work. Ha!
I recorded it myself on an 8 track so any recording advice would be greatly appreciated.(This is a Devin Townsend forum) I don't really know what I'm doing. The vocals seem to disappear for the first minute. 'Twas a bit of a rush(pun very much intended) job. I think there's too much going on.
Check out the video too. Sounds a wee bit like Tool methinks. 'Tis a new drummer. Awesome to the max!

Thanks for your time!

Sounds great for a rushed 8-track recording! Nice songwriting, playing, etc... I'm not too knowledgeable about recording outside of the digital realm, so all I can really say is that it sounds good. Maybe a little much low end and compression, but eh, not TOO too much.

Oh, and you're asking on a Devin Townsend forum if it has too much going on? Hah! :) Nah, I don't think it does personally.

This is actually pretty neat. Great performances, and like Josiah said, it sounds pretty damn good for a rushed recording.

I dig your old skool tone, does indeed sound like Rush to me! Thankfully your singer/ing is better than Geddy Lee's!!

This is a very strong song, you should try and record a not-so-rushed version for us to hear also.

Good work dude!

Love the name by the way...!
