So, I've been a Devin Townsend fan for a couple years now, started with Strapping Young Lad, then I got into his solo stuff. I haven't been listening to much else for the past couple years. I've been browsing these forums a bit, and I thought I'd share some of my stuff! Some of it is pretty heavily influenced by DT type stuff, but I try to keep it original and always make whatever comes to mind. Since I listen to a lot DT material though it's kind of hard to stop it sometimes!

Any feedback is cool! Good or bad!

Cool stuff! Loved the beginning of Coach Explosion. Some of it does sound very derivative of some of Dev's stuff though; Ultra Violet sounds incredibly similar to a lot of DT songs that I can't quite place, almost as if it was made up of slightly tweaked Dev riffs or something.

It sounds good for the most part, though. Keep it up!

Haha yeah, I'd say Ultra Violet is my least original sounding one. I didn't mean to make it sound so similar, I just played one riff and sort of built on it and just tried to do what sounded right. The first riff in there is pretty similar to "Storm", and at about 40 seconds in it kind of reminds me of one of the riffs in "Truth".

Thanks! I used Beatcraft for the drums, but I replaced the program's samples with some ones I've collected from various sources on the net.
