I hadn't really looked at this forum before but decided to do so today. There are some really talented people around here it seems. Anyway, I thought that I might just post something of my own too after browsing around for a while.
Here's a sample from an upcoming promo/demo/whatever for my band Dark Ages. It's black/death metal so probably not to everyones liking. Everything was recorded in one take during a rehearsal and also mixed/mastered by me.

yay, that was pretty cool! actually, not very original, but that isn't what black metal is about, right?
the overall sound quality is just right for the kind of music, and surprisingly good for how it was achieved. good stuff, keep it going!

i think you don't have to fear about the mods banning you for this, since you posted in an intelligent and friendly manner, asking for opinions and not just showing off your work like stupid.

Wow, thanks for the replies guys. And indeed, Ike, it's not too original or anything. We just like to play this style and have been doing so for quite a while. It's certainly more traditional than what some of you guys do around here hehe

The choice of sound was kind of hard for me by the way. Too bassy wouldn't suit the style but I don't like it when there's a total lack of bass either.

Heh, no actually. The earliest beginnings of the band were around 1997.
But that album is indeed my preferred one out of their discography. Closer to my personal taste so to speak
