I got used to listening to motion as an instrumental so it may take time for the vocals to sink in to my extremely critical musical mind....

Its inspired me more to finally frickin' get my head down and write some serious music / start some serious projects. I've always wrote songs, putting lots of effort in, and starting projects (again, with lots of effort) but never really dedicating EVERYTHING to them, leaving them all unfinished. Now i've got my own studio though, Its given me the awesome oppurtunity to follow through and get things done.
I think I'll finish my experimental/industrial/chaotic/futuristic/dissonant project as my next thing. Concept album. Tells a made-up story (It was nice to break away from personal lyrics) similar to Resident Evil (films, not the game. Unless the story is the same?) - Except, not zombies, but an undercover coorporation funded by the corrupt government to spawn/breed/create weird mutated/super people (like nuclear weapons = greater power as a country, an army of weird advanced breeds would do the same)
Nothing special story-wise... and very VERY marmite musically (You'll either love it or hate it with bleeding ears).
But yeah, proud of you DanIt must feel awesome.

That good or bad?![]()

Marmite:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marmite
It had a slogan "You either love it or you hate it", because, well... People only ever loved it or hated it. Very rarely did people say "Yeah.. Its alright I suppose", so sometimes I refer to things as marmite. Opeth are a marmite band. Of all of my friends, those of use who like them, LOVE them, and the rest that (prepare for this...) don't like them, HATE them. (...I know...)
Abydost wrote:I really doubt Opeth is love/hate. Purely because they have their chill songs too. Damnation. If we're talking just the stuff that could be regarded as heavy, then yes, it COULD be love/hate, though I still disagree with that. I'd say Meshuggah fits that description more.
