No I understand the reason for using it. Plus I think it's cool to use it as an effect for a few parts, especially for a kind of emphasis.

Sorry. Still trying to overcome being emo about criticism. :D

Hey, that's no problem, it's good you're confident in your vision. it's just I'm allergic to that Cher effect, I'm rather vocoder person :)

I hate this kind of autotune rape with such a passion it made me cringe then kill my music player.

I didn't figure you listened to nor cared about what I'm doing anyway Biert.

I got my Steven Slate drums yesterday, and already have them setup. It is a ridiculously user friendly program, and even routes into Sonar's audio tracks easily so i can mix and effect all the drums individually, in real time. The best part is the actual tones though. GODLY.

Copied and pasted from FB:

Here is the first instrumental mix of Stimulus I did with Steven Slate drums. I apologize for the hypercompressed mix, but it's the whole song...all ten minutes of it, so it was huge and had to be squashed. It's been awhile since anyone's heard the whole thing I'm sure...enjoy. :)

 Your drums finally match the quality of the rest of your mix/song writing!

Dude I'm so glad I bought those drums, I really love them.

This is a not so compressed version...only for those that have the patience to stream a 100mb file.

Yum. Sounds a lot better with your new drum library. Also, very nice to identify a few themes from other songs as well (Furor chorus springs to mind). Can't wait to hear the whole thing. :)

Thank you guys. I've been messin with vocal mixes all day today in between study sessions. It is sounding SO good. Everything sounds better...way better than that crappy mix I just posted. I am rejuvenated. :)

edit: almost forgot to add that I'm gonna keep posting mixes as they come. I'll prolly have a worthy vocal mix tomorrow.

I hate to sound rude, but would you mind hurrying this album up now? I'm beyond anxious for it after that...

You would probably get a lot of feedback if you posted this stuff on the Sevenstring.org forums.
