dude i checked out your music a few months ago and just started reading this thread. very interesting read to learn a bit about the whole process and how the music is coming along. i must say i think the clip of you singing that you posted here sounds the best out of all the singers so far. although i really like how motion is coming out. seriously, your music rocks. hopefully this all comes together soon cuz i'd love to buy a CD of this.

BTW, i just friended your myspace page, though i never use myspace. i couldn't download that abstracta song.

Kick ass. Yeah, that Abstracta thing is probably way expired. I'll be assembling some new bits soon. I have new plug-ins and such to toy around with, so things are sounding better than ever. I'll get a new blog going also for updates...

New Blog posted from Myspace...

..Hey,

It must be pretty obvious that school is taking up alot of our time. We have much new music going on though, but I'm not sure what I feel comfortable sharing just yet. Furor is updated even more, with new vocal parts by Victor, Jeremy, and yours truly.

To elaborate on Furor, I have acquired some killer new gear, and have started permanent guitar tracks. My good friend Matt Younker (and drummer for my new band) lent me his AB switch so I can record guitars with two signals, one for my pre-amp and the other for re-amping. I got the 5150 fixed, but the low end has conked out, so I need to eventually take it back to the shop once I get the moolah. So, I am doing guitar tracks with the ADA mp-1 and re-amping with Guitar Rig 3, and I must say, it sounds frickin' amazing. I'll assemble another Furor update once I get that damn explosion at the end compressed properly.

In other new equipment news, I have some kick ass new plug-ins thanks to Ryan, and I bought a MIDI keyboard. The keyboard won't really benefit OE, because I told Ryan I wouldn't add key parts without him, but I have been using it for other things. But, the plug-ins are AMAZING. Mastering is a tricky process, especially getting proper volume. Regardless, we will probably have to get it professionally mastered, but toying around is fun. Also, I don't remember if I mentioned it before, but I bought a Shure SM7 for vocals and boy howdy does it sound AWESOME. The vocal production is stellar.

So, there it is. We now pretty much have everything we need to wrap up the album, except time LOL. Hopefully more of that comes in the summer when we have less schoolwork. We are both taking just 7 credits, so it shouldn't be too bad. Thank you for the support, thank you for continued listening (I've noticed song plays everyday!) and most of all, thank you for your patience!!...WE LOVE YOU!

Ryan is saying he downloaded it and it sounds distorted...I don't hear it, but I'll cut the volume back and repost in a bit just in case.

Ok, there...sounds better lol now I will sleep good tonight.

That is sounding incredible. It sounds like you brought the drums up more in the mix? I noticed in some of your other songs (like Motion) the drums seem a little drowned out behind the layers.

I have a bus mix with a Waves plugin on there that really beefs them up. However, since yesterday I have been messing with Superior drummer. I only have the Metal Foundry so far...and I am not that impressed tbh. I still have more messing to do... but the versatility is amazing. I need more samples/tones...

From my slight understanding, you need to do a bit of tweaking with Superior before you get anything really solid sounding out of it. I'm still working on getting a sound out of Addictive Drums that I'd like to keep.
