Shit the fuck, it's time for some Rolling Rock while listening to this track !

That 'insane' style is awesome.

Once again... Well Done, Omega !

Thanx ya'll. Damn, we have our hands in so many songs right now, I hope I can keep progressing on this track. We have started Bliss (which is insanely wicked ambient), we are moving forward with vocals in Karma...there are just a few more key parts to write for Terminus, we started more vocals for Furor and Stimulus. And now there is Abstracta again LOL...I got bored and needed the heavy I guess. I don't wanna stress over that song because it is totally for fun, but yeah....I will keep up with any updates. I appreciate the support. You guys in here are sort of like my buffer, but I know at the end of the day it is all up to Ryan and I. Although, he doesn't really care what anyone thinks. :D

About the Jon Anderson/Dennis Deyoung thing...

When I feel it's appropriate, I will upload a newer sample of the Furor vocals, but with the verse included. It sounds like a totally different person.

Bliss, the ambient one... sound like it's gonna be very intresting track.

Ambient Improv to this day, is unforgettable spiritual experience for me, so I'll be very impatient on waiting for any ambient creations from You, folks.

We're bustin' ass as best we can. We are both in school, now pretty much full time...so it is even harder. But, I am getting alot more confident with my vocals. I recently tracked some for the "Terminus" chorus, and they sound magnificent IMO. And, I have always HATED my vocals. But that's me.

Not sure what to upload next. Karma is getting close to done. Maybe a new teaser of something....or a youtube vid. Dunno.

Sup.

Ugh, I am tired. And I am sure I can say the same for Ryan. I got him a job as a work study at the college, so now we are BOTH swamped with work and 10 credits. S'all good, he needs to take care of his family.

So needless to say things have been slow. I am making sure bits and pieces get done here and there. As long as we are moving forward in some way, it is all I can ask for. About two weeks back I tracked vocals for the chorus in Terminus which sound absolutely amazing. I REALLY surprised myself LOL. I am gaining confidence, and will be trying more vocals. Last night I wrote a verse for Paramount, and with some practice should be able to track it this weekend. Jeremy has been over, as well as Bob...and we have made considerable progress on Karma and Stimulus. Karma should be ready with vocals pretty soon here. It is sounding insane!! Victor and I have been messing with Furor, but I think I am gonna trade off vocals with him in the chorus. So, all is well I suppose...

Ryan and I have been wondering how in the hell we are gonna make this album cohesive with all these different singers. I haven't a clue. But, I do have faith it will all work out. Right now I feel like either we conceptualize it according to characters, or it will sound a mess. No one will know who is who...I dunno. I will probably wind up doing alot of it due to convenience. Funny thing is, the people I have showed Terminus to say they like my voice better than anyone's...that it suits the music. Makes sense. I wrote it!! (with help from Ryan of course :))

Again, I am fighting with myself about what to post next. The Karma teaser has been up for weeks, so we are due for something new (from the album). Does anyone read this shit? What song are you all most curious about? Talk to me.

Love,
Dan

Sounds like you're going for the Ayreon approach to it with singers. I say go for it, dont limit yourself with anything. If you want 10 singers do that. No limits, Dan, no limits ;)

Take my music for example, I've written drum parts that most people would laugh at and say "you really think I could play that?" (at least the drummers here...) And to top it off my friend wants to play those songs live one day haha.

Hello...

I've posted a Furor update, featuring a few vocal parts in different places, and the transition into Bliss at the end.

The mix isn't very loud compared to say, the new Fear Factory or something, but I am finding it sounds like crap if I try and crank it that high. I just don't have the proper equipment to master that well. If you need it louder, TURN IT UP!! LOL Plus, the song is very dynamic, and I don't want to lose that. Once it comes time to wrap it up, we'll be sending it off to someone to be mastered properly. I'm not about to spend over a year on an album and have it sound shit!!

The beginning wall of scream is by our buddy Brian Seabolt from our hometown. He will be featured more throughout the song (he has a sick sungscream), and possibly more of the album where appropriate. The rest is Victor of course. I may eventually swap lines with him in the chorus since I am getting much more confident with my voice.

Bliss basically starts at the 7:00 mark, and at that ending will build louder and louder until Karma kicks in. I am really feeling this "intermission" of sorts...well, I can't really call it a song can I? :) There is a definite message. Listen close and you'll hear it. I think it will be my favorite part of the album tbh....

In other news, I have been working on the Paramount verses, and I must say am truly digging my voice on it. When I get a substantial amount tracked, I'll post a newer version. Gotta jet. I love you all!

Thanks Anthony.

So, I am incredibly anal and posted a better mix...it's louder, and more properly compressed. Check it yos!

Love the sound of the whole thing (yes, vocals included), but if I have to nitpick it's about the timing of the vocals in the first minute (especially "and forget me"). They seem a little too 'off-the-beat' where everything else is tight as hell.

You mean the way they come in? I agree. The "and" is a bit off...also, the tom fill there is a bit weak, so they don't mesh well. I've been thinking about changing that fill for months, but ya know...I have the WHOLE rest of the album to worry about too.

I'm a bit surprised no one is commenting on Bliss at the end....best part I think.
