NO, FUROR!

Soon enough Dan and Ryan will have their own split fanbase which will go "you newfags suck, the old OE was the best" and the others are like "NO U"

HAHAHA!! Now I'm a fag.... I did not know that :D :biomech:

Whoa....Bugi, are you secretly from Maxoulou's home planet? We haven't even released Karma yet. :?

Morten....stop listening to Furor. You are gonna wear it out and start hating it soon, saying "meh, yesterdays news".

Hey, I am still here. Mostly lurking. There hasn't been too much chat lately in any thread on this forum that has fueled me enough to make any posts.

But I am patiently waiting new samples from Omega Experiment. Don't take any pressure and don't listen to what other people have to say (good or bad). Just keep doing what you are doing that is the easiest way it will come.

Funny...I was jamming along to it last night for the hell of it, along with a few other songs. I am discovering a whole new appreciation for our music by re-learning some of this stuff. It is really easy to get caught up in the process of writing, forgetting about how cleverly written your "old" material is. We have been plundering away at the writing process for so long, my perspective has been skewed. It's great stuff! (hope that doesn't sound too narcissistic). Paramount with its catchy simplicity...Furor with all of its energy...but, screw Stimulus man! I really shot myself in the foot there! Pretty progressive stuff man. I thought Furor was the most difficult stuff to play, but I was wrong wrong wrong. Sure Stimulus isn't all fast and crazy....but, fast and crazy comes easy to me. Rocking a proper groove is much more challenging...

Random Thought....I was writing/tracking for Karma yesterday, and I needed some kind of tool to get a massive amount of sustain out of my guitar. I took my electronic finger nail file and turned it on, hovering it about two inches from my pickup. The sound that came out was almost like a melodic drill!! It ruled...the riff is a chord change from D to F#...and it sang a high E, which would make a second harmony or 9 chord. It was totally cool...I wonder what other household appliances are melodic...

Sonar 8 Producer. It is amazing...I think better than Protools in some ways.

When we did Paramount we also started messing with Reason and Ableton live for samples and such, and now Ryan is trying to configure Superior Drummer 2.0...However, I do think there is a certain charm to the Sonar session drummer. We'll see. Whatever sounds best will be used for the final result.

It is hard because he comes over my house to write, and as we write, we track. I don't have near the computer power he does, so he is the one with all those cool plug-ins/programs. Almost everything you hear is done in Sonar (cuz that's all I have).

And I will answer Mushroom's question here: Karma is just different. All the songs pretty much stand on their own I think. Karma treads into territory we haven't covered yet. There are alot of sound manipulation techniques...it is alot more synth driven, and just alien sounding. I dunno. I really want ya'll to hear it, but we can't force anything...Maybe a sample? There is an intense progressive section that Ryan is currently preparing for...and we still have alot of writing to do for it. I would say it is about 3/4 of the way written. Hang tight!

Yeah.. this progressive section... Its a huge solo section followed by cool shit, then more cool shit! And the solo is at about ~170-190 bpm, and I have to learn it in a third part harmony... :knocked: Gonna be a challenge for sure... :chain:
