What exactly inspired the artwork for the cover of The New Black? I just don't understand what it's meant to be or what...well....I just don't get it, and after spending hours of wondering what the hell it was meant to be or symbolize, I've given up and just need to know! =D

Ther's reams of ramblings about on the Strapping forums. If you can be bothered to sit there and wade through it.

I tried joining the strapping forums like 5 times, and it just kept saying that the code thingy was incorrect, when it blatantly wasn't =P

Precisely to make the cover mean what you make of it. What does it mean? What do you think it means? What is this Strapping thing? What do you think this Strapping thing is? The New Black is YOU!!!

I'm skeptical about the inkblot thing. the cover is so insanely detailed and looks far too "drawn" to be just a simple inkblot. maybe it was an inkblot that was taken and drawn with random detail on it?

Maybe this question should find its way into the Ask Tracy section...

i'd say it is made with crayons, then folded and heated under an iron. the colour melts and makes those detailed patterns. we did that often in kindergarten, if i recall correctly..
