I'm thinking about this black Washburn D10s dreadnought http://www.zzounds.com/item--WASD10S because it has like 500 9 star reviews and is rated best guitar from acoustic guitar magazine. Anybody that know guitars have anything to say about it?:)

Looks like a good enough guitar to me, solid spruce and mahogany, can't be that bad. I know Washburn electrics are good guitars for the price, so that thing's probably perfectly decent!

I have a Yamaki Deluxe Folk acoustic guitar that was given to me by a friend a long time ago (it was my first guitar). I can safely say that I will never need another acoustic as long as this one is in my possession-- it completely trumps any other acoustic guitar I've played to date. The size is just perfect (unless you prefer the awkwardness of a huge dreadnought under your shoulder :P), the sound is totally unique and amazing and the neck feels like a super-fast electric guitar neck. Easiest to play acoustic I know of.

So, y'know, if you happen to stumble across one I'd say try it out. ;)

I don't think I have much chance of stumbling upon such a nice guitar:(
Also, while I have this little guitar topic, know any good books/dvds/sites for learning basics?

Well, you never know-- the friend that gave me this one found it in a pawn shop for $5, and they're not super uncommon guitars or anything. I don't know if Yamaki is still in business but it's worth checking out some local stores/ebay/used shops etc.

The only guitar site I've ever really used is www.chordfind.com :)

If you can, go into the acoustic guitar section at the guitar store, and just play every acoustic in the room until you find one that feels right.

This has happened tome to. I recently found my guitar in there, and I fell in love with it straight away. I don't think its anything speical, its a Hohner.
I don't know what brands and things are 'ideal' with guitars. But yeah, keep an eye in charity stores, and I'd say Nathans advise is good too.
I think testing a guitar before you buy it would definitely the way to go.
