Hyperdrive Video Lesson (Tab included)

The intro/chorus and "other" part sound off to me.

2 things:

1: They might very well be wrong, this was done by ear and it's just how I play it

2: The sound quality has been reduced DRASTICALLY on YouTube. The original file was 249MB and it was compressed to 38MB for YouTube.

Thanks for the input though, I'll keep trying to figure more and more out :)

Yeah, the intro/chorus sound a bit off too me too.

I usually do it like this, and it sounds pretty good to me:

Pretty close, but doesn't sound entirely accurate.

Sounds like (to me anyway)

You can also play it here, which is what it looks like he's doing in the video. I personally think this sounds tonally closer to whats on the album even though they're technically the same chords as above.

Oh, I have also taken your suggestions for the intro/chorus. Your versions sound much better :)

The only variation I'm going to make in the tab is that I'll play it lower on the fretboard, with easier fingering:

Interesting fingering. I don't think that is correct though.

The riff is buried in effects so it's hard to make out, but you can hear the notes on the 3rd and 5th frets on the high G string ringing out throughout the strumming.

These chords/shapes appear a lot in Devin's work.

That's how I originally had it, but I changed it and I think the new version is ore accurate.

though I think that's part of the fun of dev's music, and he might feel the same, that the fans can figure it out for themselves. Though I've heard before that tab books might come out someday or that HDR is looking into them.
