Recording tutorials/tips etc

So despite having been playing since I was 13, I'm coming towards my first attempts to make some half decent recordings, rather than just rough demos to help me renamed stuff.

The difficult part is that I'm recording pretty out of the ordinary stuff so it's going to be a rough learning cure figuring out how best to approach it, and trying to learn pretty much from scratch.

Does anyone have any decent tutorials they've come across as a starting point?

The stickys here helped me a lot when I was starting out. They cover pretty much everything.

I've learnt almost everything from other people. Curiousity is good! Just follow the basic rule that you try to get the best sound possible in the recording stage so you don't have to fix it later.
