32 guitarists in one band is outrageous in the worst possible meaning of the word.

I disagree. I believe that it can be used in the name of innovation.

Then write something for 32 guitars (& whatever else) that doesn't sound like a circle jerk (?). Be innovative.

If only I could actually write decent music, which I've attempted on countless occasions for the past 4 years.

Regardless, I was thinking that the overdubbing can be used more or less not for riffing, but more in the post-rock sense of creating ambience or effect. Heck, a guitar symphony of some sort. Maybe there are other possibilities.

However, those are just examples. But anything is possible. ANYTHING.

Why are you taking my joke seriously?

Other than that, I'm with soundsofentropy. Go with that idea and see if you can make it work.

Oh, and how did the hot topic show go?

The show went super. Our buddy said he was gonna tape it, so we didn't bring a camera...and he ended up showing up empty handed. My friend Tim taped it on his camera phone, but I guess it sounds like garbage.

As far as other vocalists, I need someone that has a bit more of a current sound. Everyone involved so far brings a certain wisdom and experience, and are massively talented, but I also need some youth. Someone that has some current influences...like emo without the whine. Or...lots of range and feeling without the metal cheese. Emotion basically...a very melodically capable person that can also get some killer screaming going on....

Possibly. I'd have to get a hold of him and let him hear your stuff.
