Another fun and interesting tuning I came up with myself is FADGAE

You tune low E up to F and B down to A. It's a very interesting tuning that opens up some crazy chords.

for my band i play only 3 strings on my bass. i tune it DAG. i kinda use D as the low end and AG as the melody strings. its very fun
