Via reddit, originated on 4chan I think

I'm testing something. I just want to know if you're "that guy". If you follow enough of these, lemme know.

You prefer to wear clothing with no labels on it, clothing that isn't from a distinct time period. Jeans and a plain (maybe collared) shirt will do it for you most of the time. If you care about fashion at all, you like a vintage or grunge look.

You've got a wide variety of what people would describe as "random knowledge". You read all the books everyone was assigned in high school (probably on your own), and then some. You are familiar with H. P. Lovecraft. You read The Hitchhiker's Guide. You might like Stephen King. You know enough about comic books, psychology, philosophy, and science fiction to hold a conversation about them. You like history, some art, literature, and science.

When it comes to music, you like a bit of everything, but particular favorites include music that makes unique use of the bass, and experimental music. Some genres you might enjoy are punk, folk, doom metal, trip-hop, or jazz. You do not identify yourself by the music you listen to.

Your sympathies lie with communists, libertarians, or anarchists, even if you have recognized these ideas to be imperfect. You are an environmentalist, though not a radical. You prefer to be thrifty.

If you are an atheist, you aren't the obnoxious kind. You like to take an analytical, anthropological approach to religion and spirituality (including your own).

Gender roles aren't your thing, really. Old people seem to like you. You can make people laugh, but that doesn't mean you're very popular or social. Mostly you keep your interests to yourself.

So, how much of a stereotypical internet pinko pseudo-intellectualist are you? Well I differ in details: I hate collared shirts, have plenty of band ones instead, don't know squat about comic books, also don't have that broad musical taste really. Not sure about the old people too, don't know that many of them.

But rest of that - yup, I'm a bit lefty, I know lots of random, useless trivia I read on the internet, love pub-level psychology/philosophy, have read lots of usual Adams, Lovecraft and King books, like to consider myself a non-militant atheist and I'm pretty appaling socially. There go remains of my sense of uniqueness :>

I know a couple of people (in person, not online) who fit this almost to the letter. I dont really fit this at all, I dont care for doom metal or really any genre of music they mentioned (save for jazz sometimes). Politics have began to disgust me (both sides, fuck'em). So basically, I dont fit this but I know people who do haha

Other than the fact that it underscores just how much I've read, yes, that's pretty damn accurate. I'm a lefty, but I actually don't sympathize with anything because all alternative political systems are inherently as flawed as our current way of living, and I don't believe any grand sweeping changes will help society at all. Life just doesn't work like that, with a flick of the switch everything will not just be okay. So, I suppose I feel a little more strongly about that as well.

But anyway, that's pretty funny.

I'd say about 90% of that suits me. Most of my shirts are unlabelled polo, either that or band shirts which I wear mostly to concerts and outings. If I do get obnoxious with my atheism, it's only because some religious nut is shoving it down my throat and I want to piss them off; elsewise couldn't care less. Politics aren't really my thing, but I'm generally leftist. Most of my books are Stephen King. And music, well it's just entertainment folks! (Somebody had to say it)

Hm, some of it suits me, some of it doesn't. The part about philosophy, science fiction, H.P. Lovecraft, etc- all of that. Yeah. I do lean left, all that... But I love band shirts, shirts of old shows I like, though I do like button-ups and sports coats.... I guess I could go on and on going all though it. I guess
a little, but not all, yes. Oh, and worth mentioning is that I don't do jazz or doom metal, and I only like Massive Attack when it comes to Trip-hop...

Come to think of it, that list of attributes is ALMOST too wide.

First I was like "Yeah thats me!" but then I thought a little more about it and concluded that I resemble that what is said only roughly by half in general.

I don't want to represent something with my clothing and I don't care about fashion. Jeans and plain shirt. :D

I don't have any "random knowledge" and hardly even any common knowledge.

I just happened to start reading Hitchhikers Guide but I hardly ever read books. I know about H.P. Lovecraft because that Cthulhu-stuff is everywhere. :o

I know enough philosophy to talk about it for awhile but the same can't be said about comic books or psychology or sci-fi. I am not interested in history or literature very much. Very interested in science. :?

Unique use of bass is not my thing although I enjoy almost all music. I like experimental music very much and I don't identify myself by the music I listen. None of the genres suggested were my favorite ones though. :)

My sympathies do not lie anywhere in politics, yet I am interested in politics. I am an environmentalist to the point I refuse to buy a car ever. I'll find another way. And I am very thrifty. :)

Concerning religion I am an atheist and exactly as suggested. :D

Gender roles aren't my thing. Some old people do seem to like me, some don't. I've made people laugh but I am not social or popular. I keep my interests to my self. :D

Let's see!

I have maybe 3 colored t-shirts. The rest are band t-shirts - black! Fashion I know nothing of - Even though my girlfriend really tries me to educate me

The books and the random knowledge - Yes, except that my tastes lies in the beat-generation stuff, existentialism, sci-fi + King and John Irving. History and art bores me. Leave it to the intellectuals

I don't like punk. I try NOT to identify the music with myself. The only time I ever listen to jazz is when I do a jazz-gig

I have no sympathy for politics - It seems to me that no-one really tells the truth anyway. And as long as we take care of the nature, like planting a tree every once in a while, the enviromentalists can take care of themselves

And I haven't figured out my spirituality and faith yet. It seems a lot more confused than the political scene and I don't have the patience!

I am a male. And I like girls. I don't really know anything about old people. But we all get old sooner or later!

I can make people laugh and sometimes I laugh at people :D
