Let's all discuss the fact that Psy Trance is awesome. Any fans?

I've not listened to much, and haven't really felt any reason to yet... but I think that'll just be because I've not been in the right situation/circumstance for it to hold my attention.

Maybe the fact I've never gotten high? I imagine this music would be great in that situation, yes? (Assuming you have, of course).

Actually, listening to the first track you posted while typing this is already sounding better than the few clips I've heard before. Sounds quite industrial.

Haha. Well, this fact will most certainly be made obsolete in the coming future, its inevitable. So I'll make sure pay a visit to the land of Psy Trance while the experience is under way.

EDIT: Sounds like Geometry Wars music :)

Psy trance is made for when you are high. Progressive house as well ( I've listened to Deadmau5 for hours when stoned ).

EDIT: I'll post some prog house as well since it's so similar:

^ I liked that track even in this sober state. I'm sure this stuff's gonna go down well whenever I do get high.

I quite like Juno Reactor. Where does that fit into all this?

As time goes by I am liking more of this kind of thing though, the above included, and a lot of the stuff in the dubstep thread too. I must be getting old!

YES! Psytrance IS awesome, whether you get high or not, I've only recently discovered some of the best music I've ever heard, and I don't mean it's better than rock music with guitars and stuff in, I'm REALLY old skool when it comes to rock. Sabbath, Zeppelin, AC/DC, Maiden etc etc but at certain times if you want to expand your mind a bit then psytrance is the way to go. Start with Steve Hillage/System 7 and Hawkwind, and Gong, they invented it way back in the seventies. Then I skip forward to the nineties with some Hallucinogen/Shpongle, Green Nuns of the Revolution, Terra Ferma, and basically everything on the Platipus Records label. Man With No Name remixes are the mutts nuts. Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, Juno Reactor, Junkie XL - although I haven't heard much, I really like the music from Darkspore. The Crystal Method, Cosmosis, Alien Project, Astrix, Infected Mushroom, 1200 Micrograms, Art of Trance, Binary Finary, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Lab 4, deadmau5, Dissociactive, Eat Static, Hoopy Frood, Starlab, Stellardrone, Ozric Tentacles, Talamasca, Tangerine Dream, Union Jack, Vibrasphere, Ultraviolence. Sun Station Records.

And that's just scratching the surface. I don't think it's a coincidence that it was the same mate of mine that introduced me to Devin Townsend who got me into trance, and he makes his own mixes too, and they're AWESOME.
