Reccomend me some FUNK.
at the moment im currently doing my rounds with James Brown, Sly & The Family Stone, Otis Redding, Parliament, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye and ive been told to check out Funkadelic. are there any other groups i can check out?

Curtis Mayfield is THE shit.
Some of the deeper Earth, Wind & Fire cuts are worth looking into as well.
And I second the hell out of Funkadelic.

Funkadelic and Parliament are to all intents and purposes the same group.
Most of the offshoots of Parli-Funkedelicment and the JBs are worth checking too - Bootsy Collins, Maceo Parker etc
The Ohio Players, the Isley Brothers, Kool and the Gang, Rufus and Chaka Khan, the Average White Band.
depends where you draw the line really. Chic deserve a place in any music collection.

ive got a Rick James CD called SUPERHITS in my collection but i havent listened to it in ages. got it when i was 16 or something
