This is going to take me some thought, but what are your picks? (sorry if there's already a thread, but if there was, I've managed to miss it!)

Gozu made one there not long ago, but it was you had to pick one best album for every year of the last decade as opposed to an overall favourite album list regardless of annual constraints...

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=8962&p=225868

I'd have to have a think about my overall favourites across the last 10, there's more than just those ten that I listed in that thread....

Well, I discovered a lot of music this decade but a lot of it is not actually from this decade. My personal highlights of those that were released this decade:

Alter Bridge - One Day Remains (2004)
Ayreon - The Human Equation (2004)
Boston - Corporate America (2002)
Devin Townsend - Terria (2001)
The Devin Townsend Band - Accelerated Evolution (2003)
He Is Legend - I Am Hollywood (2004)
Mogwai - Happy Songs For Happy People (2003)
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor (2005)
Nightwish - Century Child (2002)
Opeth - Blackwater Park (2001)
Pain Of Salvation - Remedy Lane (2002)
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia (2002)
Reuben - Racecar Is Racecar Backwards (2004)
Rush - Vapor Trails (2002)
Rush - Snakes & Arrows (2007)
The Shizit - Soundtrack For The Revolution (2000)
Strapping Young Lad - Alien (2005)

Still need to decide whether Ki and Addicted belong in that list. They're too fresh for now.

Opeth - Blackwater Park
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
Disillusion - Back To The Times of Splendor
