I wanted to give this a try so Gozu was nice enough to send me an invite

But as it turns out, I don't know anyone else who's using it so it's kind of pointless right now
So I was curious to see if anyone else here is using it, and how. In case you want to try it yourself, I do have some invitations to hand out so drop me a PM if you're interested, maybe some other folks have some left too.
I just want to start actually using this

I do think it's a really promising platform. Basically the guys at Google thought (rightfully so, IMO) "Email and Instant Messaging and IRC are technologies that have existed for decades now, and when they were invented they were sufficient for people's needs. But by now the internet and its place in the world have changed massively, and as such those old technologies that we are still using, are really ineffective for the way we use them".
And they went to improve the way people communicate on the internet. The result is Wave, which combines features from email, instant messaging, message boards, blogs, social networks, wikis, the whole shebang.
So comparing a wave to a thread on here... Someone creates the topic, and any contacts that are added to the wave can read it, add comment in any place in the wave, edit any part of the wave (even parts that other people wrote, but it keeps track of changes to you can always look back), add videos, pictures... The whole thing is in real-time so you can actually see what other people are typing
while they are typing.
The technology backing it all up is really impressive too, very open and pointed at interoperability. If you want to know more and see some previews, check out the video at
http://wave.google.com/ (it's a bit lengthy at 1h20m but very impressive).
