Can't freakin wait. I'm so excited. :D

I'll be doing an interview with Dino in the next couple of weeks. If you have any questions you want to ask him, mainly about Divine Heresy, let me know. I'll be throwing some FF questions in there too.

Cheers,

Yeh bastards. It'd be great to live in a county that got good live shows... :?

WTF Divine factory lad?

How did this happen, I thought Dino and Burton hated each other! What happened to Raymond? I'm so confused.

PLEASE LET THEM RECORD THE NEW ALBUM WITH THIS LINE UP PLEEEAAAASSE!

Saw them at Rod Laver Arena a few years back. Am a massive fan, especially of the Demaunufacture/Obsolte era stuff, but live they were a massive letdown. Their sound was poor and Burton's attitude SUCKED seriously. Easily the weakest band on the 4 band bill. Not gunna bother, would prefer it if DH came out....

Although with mean Gene on the skins....

Where's Ray?

They kissed and made up.

Courtesy of some guy with a Wikipedia account:

"On April 7, 2009, Burton C. Bell and ex-guitarist Dino Cazares announced the reconciliation of their friendship"

Burton answers that one here:

"Metal Hammer: Christian and Raymond aren’t involved in this new line-up…how and why was that decision made?

Burton: It’s like a business and I’m just reorganising. After time you realise what’s important and what’s not important, and after talking to Dino again it just felt good and it felt right."

Christian and Raymond finally spoke out regarding what was going down with the whole thing. apparently there is a court battle going on to see who gets rights to the band name

That's funny, cause Dino and Burton were the founders, along with Raymond obviously...and Christian was brought in when they wanted to start playing live.

WOW! thank god i saw this thread :P . i saw it, remembered tickets went on sale today, ran all the way to the football club and bought my ticket  thank fuck i quit smoking and drinking

ALSO:
"On the subject of how ARKAEA came together, Raymond said, "What ultimately ended up happening was Christian and I had written, like, eight songs for the next FEAR FACTORY record, which is essentially what the ARKAEA record ended up being, and there was kind of a personal disagreement there with Burt not wanting to continue. And we're like, 'Well, we're sitting on all these songs. What are we gonna do with them?' kind of a thing, and Christian was like, 'Well, why don't we do something else with it?' So Christian was... It was actually kind of his brainchild to put this whole thing together. He was like, 'Hey, let's get Jon [Howard, vocals; THREAT SIGNAL] in here, let's do this and let's do that. We'll do a different band.' And I was like, 'OK, cool. Let's do that.'" "

im acctually glad that thats what burton did because those arkaea songs really sucked. that album would have tarnished fear factorys name. i can see Dino and Gene making a far more exciting album than Ray and Christian in all honesty. not that i dislike Ray and Cristian. theyre awesome guys and Christian seemed like a nice fellow when i breifly met him, but they seem burned out musically.

I dont know, Arkaea's stuff seems fun. Jon's vocals on it are ok, he's better in Threat Signal. I'll at least download their album. It's definitely not Fear Factory material though.
