I know you all want him to read your post so you can squeal and be all like "OMG FAMOUS MUSIC GENIUS HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF MY EXISTENCE TO SOME EXTENT LOLOLOL!11!!!1!!!11ONE", but I think it goes without saying that he has better things to do with his time than address every single one of your questions individually. We're lucky enough to be provided with insights into his projects as often as we are and while I'm sure he doesn't mind people asking him things about himself, think really hard the next time you want to post a thread whose title begins with "ATTENTION DEV" and ask yourself IF I WERE SOMEBODY ON A MESSAGE BOARD, WOULD I BE CREEPED OUT BY THIS.

I'm not posting this on any sort of an official level, I'm not even a regular poster anymore because my lurking provides me with all the Devy info I require. I'm just sick of seeing stupid threads like the aforementioned and I'm probably not the only one. Or maybe I am. Who cares.

I'd have to say I'm similar...but at the same time, what's wrong with asking a question? Nothing, that's what. So what if people post threads inquiring a response from Devin? I think it's awesome that he does post here and that he does answer most questions people ask.

I've not been here for long but, so i haven't seen many creepy questions. I've seen the one where someone asked what Tracy looks like... lol... but thats about it.. so i can't really comment, but im sure there have been lots, so i agree...

There have been way too many threads lately asking Devin questions, do you honestly expect him to answer them all? If I were him I would be annoyed, yet flattered.

I am getting quite tired of all the fucking bullshit threads in the Devin Townsend forum. Good post.

You can kinda tell in a lot of the questions that they're forced, if you know what i mean?

Like... instead of having a really worthwhile question they've always wondered... and then realised they could ask on the forum... they've joined, realised Dev posts here, and then wanted to "talk to hiim!!!"

Anyway, enough bitching about creepy questions!
I have a little question of my own, to the Dev:

I was wondering, roughly how long on average do you think you spend on the toilet each day?.. and was the title 'Shitstorm' influenced by your experiences on the toilet in any way? Write back ASAP, its bugging me and im thinking about it every night.

I don't think Dev has the time nor energy to answer every single question. However, if people want to ask him something they can, even if it is annoying to others.

This board gets a little...excited before a new release, and Dev's presence really tizzies up the fan base.

It's all good. Just ignore the question threads and be glad you don't have to monitor the lot.
