Since I got started talking about photography in another thread, I thought I'd post up some frames of my backyard.

Please add any pics you've taken

Cheers

Very pretty pics, that 4th one has some awesome colours.

We should make this the official 'show your photography' thread, might be pretty cool.

Awesome pics of our wide brown land, but where here is it THAT green? (2nd pic).

I live in the 'temperate' south east and it's turning into a dustbowl down here.

Haha... it's a good reminder of how big the country is, isn't it?

I'm just south of Brisbane for the week and it's lush and green right now. In fact it poured with rain all night.

Similar thing back close to home in Canberra... it's as dry as a nun's gusset at home, but when we drove over the other side of Clyde Mountain for a holiday it was lush and green and it rained for most of the week. Nuts!

Beautiful pics, by the way. They make me want to get back to the coast for a bit of rock fishing. :D

Awesome!

Could you elaborate on what this means? I've seen the HDR effect a lot lately and thought it would be cool to try to reproduce, it it's even possible with my crappy camera.

HDR = High dynamic range. It's what makes the green look greener than green etc. :D

Yeah I know, it's quite amazing the size of this 'Great Southern Land'. It's virtually the same size as mainland US.

It's what makes whole picture evenly exposed (in both dark and bright bits) due to combining few differently exposed shots. And makes me bored of itself, to be honest, its damn popular technique nowadays and I actually want to see a picture and be sure it REALLY looked that way.

Not to be rude, sans' photos are good, I wish I could do something that well. Even processing is good since I don't see that annoying halos which are often visible in poorly done HDRs (ok, except the photo with lone rock). But still, I'm just tad fed up with ze HDRs.

Really, from a photography perspective it looks amazing. All the history/ruins; awesome!

Get a camera and start taking shots:)
