Alright, so I'm going to Seattle this weekend, and I wanna know where some cool things are. I've already got The Experience Music Project and Microsoft HQ and other standard stuff like that, but what else is there?

Some hotel. But yes, BlueRaja will tell you.

Nathan, do me (and the rest of the world) a favour and throw some eggs and/or rotten tomatoes at the MS office :D

Or he can go in there and break the news to them that they need to step up their quality assurance.

I've always imagined that Seattle is filled with nothing but grunge. Grunge people eating grunge food in grunge buildings.

Though I do imagine a lot of things.

I have always imagined Seattle to be the ultimate Cyberpunk dystopia. I was sorely disappointed when I finally visited :( Curse you, Shadowrun.

Seattle's Convention and Visitor's Bureau site:

Official City Site:

If you're planning on visiting the Experience Music Project, then you're already at the Seattle Center. DO go visit the Space Needle, since it's right there! The Pacific Science Center is also a lot of fun. From the Center, you can ride the Monorail (which runs right thru the EMP) to Westlake Center downtown. Then it's just a few blocks of walking down to Pike Place Market (http://www.pikeplacemarket.org/frameset.asp?flash=false). You know...the famous fish-throwing spot.

Woodland Park Zoo is amazing, but it's easily an all-day venture.

Seattle is a gorgeous city; the scenery is breathtaking. You've got Mt Rainier, the San Juan Islands, and the Olympic Mountains in the distance. Pike Place Market is right on the waterfront, so you can walk along the piers and enjoy the smells of alder smoked salmon, Ye Olde Curiousity Shop, and the Seattle Aquarium/IMAX Theater, plus countless other shops and eateries, and watch the ferries coming in. Oh, the original Starbucks is located at Pike Place Market, too...if you care.

Hope you enjoy your trip. :D
