I haven't either, but I always pronounce it 'skehk-sys' ('sys' as in 'system')

Dark Crystal creeped the hell out of me as a kid. Not watched it recently, but certain Henson type puppets just seem inherently evil and twisted

I pronounce it Skehk (as in Heck) and Sys (as in System) also.
