The first song I heard by them was Alien Angel, and now I have 3 of their 4 albums and they have a new one on the way. Joey Eppard, the singer/songwriter/guitarist is brothers with Josh Eppard of Coheed and Cambria and he is one of the most talented musicians I've ever heard.

I found out about Three a little over a year or so ago, and I really like their stuff. Their Paint By Number album is definitely my favorite to date. Their new stuff sounds heavier than ever, so I'm looking forward to their next installment. I freakin' love Co & Ca's stuff, too. They're going to release a new album in the fall.

I've heard two of their albums (Wake Pig and The End is Begun) and they are both great. TEiB is coming out in a month or so, but I got a leaked copy.
I also checked out some Coheed and Cambria, and was unimpressed. 3 kicks their collective ass.

Three are more experimental, but Coheed are better at songwriting (in my opinion). Both bands have master lyricists, though. Coheed has that awesome multi-album spanning storyline, which is very prog-rockish, and Three usually have odd or sci-fi inspired lyrics to their songs with lines that can stick in your head.

They kind of just sound like a watered down version of The Mars Volta to me. I never hear what others hear in most music and it makes me sad:(

Wow, that sounds pretty good. Nice songs!
Can't stand the singer though... As soon as I have to guess between male or female vocals, I'm out.

You can get used to it
Does that mean you don't like Rush?

I've heard so many people say that they can't listen to Rush, Coheed, or Three just because they don't like the singer. It irks me, but to each his own, I guess.

I <3 vocals like that, although I can see how some(most?) people don't.
