im sure i read a similar topic to this before ages ago....but here goes...ive always thought that Devins voice would be idea for singing with a female vocalist. Devin has done guest vocals for several other bands already, would be intersting to hear him sing with a female vocalist... who would you like to hear him sing with?? He has a great vocal range so could do the deep grunty vocals and/or could do higher vocals in harmony too. It would obviously be different to what he does at the moment, but Devin has always been diverse and not stuck to one music genre.

Ive been listening to Delain lately, and they have many guest vocalists on the new album from various bands. would love to hear devin do a spot on their next album.

how about Devin doin a guest spot with Nightwish?? lol or within temptation...lacuna coil?

who else do u think he would sound good with?? doesnt have to be limited to heavy metal.... :)

Anneke van Giersbergen :)

I also love the female singer from Synchestra..I believe her name is Deborah. It would be cool for him to do a whole album with her.

I would have a sex change operation to sing with Dev.

Nah, serious, Esteri Remond from Elend.

That was my first thought too, I think they would match perfectly (musically, of course )!!

...and that was my second thought...

I also could imagine Tori Amos, because she has a powerful voice.

I have to get this off my chest, before I continue this post, but I really don't like Delain. We played their support in November 2006, and their music is 5 years behind. The record sounds good, but only thanks to the guest musicians. Live, they're really crap...
Okay... on with the topic:

I don't know if Bjork and Devin Townsend would be a good collaboration; her music is a little too freaky and hippy for my taste. I don't know what Devin his role would be in that music.
I'd love to see Devin work with the vocalist of Walls Of Jericho, Otep or Arch Enemy. You know, some girls who can really scream their coochies off. Some clean vocals from Devin, combined with the female screams... that'd be tasty.
Or otherwise, I'd love to see Devin work with Cinder Block, but I don't believe she is singing much these days. Very nice vocals and lyrics.

Personally i found the woman that did vocals on Synchestra to be a bit too soft for my liking, shes talented none the less but id like to hear a woman that has a bit more of one of those husky soul voices kinda like Aretha Franklin or something.
