like I said on the SYL board...

I can't be the only one on here who has heard this masterpiece, can I? I have not seen anyone else mention the Album 'Om' by the band 'Negura Bunget' on here although I think it's one of the best things of 2006 and one of the best things I have ever heard. I think it may be the most exciting Black Metal record I've ever heard and it would probably also appeal to people that usually don't like BM. Some of their influences are nature, Enslaved, Neurosis, Dillinger Escape Plan, etc. Anyways...who else has listened to it and is amazed?

I haven't kept up with them since "Sala Molksa"back in 98' 99' something.Their new one's good, eh.? Man being here only awhile I am amazed at some of the stuff ya'll are tuning to.Good shite

I think it's phenomenal...musically some of the best stuff I've ever heard. I just have to whore for that Album 'cause it can't stay unrecognized!! heh

Yeh 'Om' is really really good. I like how it is so dark and atmospheric whilst remaining melodic. Altho I saw the interview with the band on the bonus dvd and its like wtf...they are trying to communicate some complex ideas thru this music. I jus like the music

I've heard it a couple of times but it didn't really 'grab' me. What is it you love so much about it, Lars? Maybe I'll see it, if I know what to pay attention to.

Biert: the entire CD....just take the second track Tesarul De Lumini. I love the complexity of that song. Starts slow and atmospheric, turns into a beast in the middle and ends with that HUGE ambient part for the last 3 minutes. Dunno...when I listen to that song I have to think of David Lynch and Silent Hill, heh. Oh and it is best to listen to loud with headphones, IMO.

Fubar: Very true...I watched the interview part too and reacted the same way. I did not understand at all what they were trying to say

Ming Mong: like I said...it's the complexity. I think Ulver's experimental stuff always sounds like a Soundtrack. And I'd say 'Om' is like a Black Metal soundtrack...although limiting it to just Black Metal would not do it any justice. Anyways...you'll hear it anyways as soon as I receive the new Jääportit CD

you can listen to a sample of the second track at their myspace site http://www.myspace.com/negurabunget although it's probably better to check out the entire Album rather than a sample since a sample does not tell much and everybody knows that myspace is poo poo soundwise.

oh well...I'd upload the second track of that Album somewhere to give interested people an idea. If I just knew where to upload it It would be a 12 MB file or so.

I have just listened to 'Tesarul De Lumini' from the myspace, and it was pretty good actually. Nice and textured. I liked it!

I'm a big Bunget fan. Got everything from the Wiccan Rede demo to OM.

OM is marvelous, as was Maiastru Sfetnic and N' Cregu Bradalui.
