Ulver - Blood Inside --> more layered than Terria & I

I guess the impossible has happened. I used to think Terria was going to remain the most layered record ever, but it seems after listening to Ulver's Blood Inside non-stop for over a year, it has surpassed Terria in terms of its magical production. There are like 80-track guitars overdubbed in places, producing incredible piano melodies underneath, and Garm's uniquely powerful vocals.

What do you guys think of Blood Inside and its production?

Also, is it just me or did Devin once comment on Ulver being one of the greatest bands ever?

I think Devy said that about Meshuggah or Opeth. I'm not sure though.

Yeah, Blood Inside is still an awesome album :)

your mom is more layered than terria and I.

I like Blood Inside, too :). And I'd say Infinity is more layered than any of those albums.

Blood Inside is awesome. Not my fave Ulver record, but it has like the most insane song that i have ever heard; "Blinded By Blood". Gives me chills just thinking about it.

It's always nice to discover some new small details in an album you thought you knew inside out :)

Schizophrenia is the keyword here indeed.
Very diverse album, but haven't really given it a fair chance.
I remember [namedrop] Tore [/namedrop] told me that they went to california to produce/mix or something, because it was one of few studios in the world with posibility to obain the level of schizophrenia they urged.
