Virus problem (kinda urgent)

This got onto my computer and I've no idea how it got there. I've used about 4-5 different virus and adware scanners, one of which took 12 hours it was so thorough, but nothing came up.

I've looked through the registry and scanned everything I downloaded the day it appeared but I can not find the root of the problem.

The icon thing itself is in the taskbar and flashes between a mine symbol, (not good), and a triangular warning symbol. Every now and then a bubble pops up headed 'Critical System Errors!'. If I right or left-click on either the icon or the bubble a window opens up to a website called 'virusbursters.com' which asks for login details or a credit card number. ...'nuff said.

Here's a pic of each little stage in its annoying but troubling regime of terror.

As you can see 'balloon' is spelt wrong which clearly indicates that this is not windows being retarded.

I kinda need to get rid of this. Can anyone help? Better antispyware/antivirus? Anthing?

Try using Windows Defender if you don't have it installed already.

I found that :

and that :

Seems to be a program rather than a virus (hence why it's not detected, it doesn't seem to be really dangerous from what I've (quickly) read.

Dunkelheit > Win95 ?! *o*

Your main problem seems to be Windows :P

To solve this, check out the list of installed software (in the control panel) for stuff that's not supposed to be there. If you only want to get rid of this stupid program starting upon Windows boot, go to Start, Run, type 'msconfig', go to the Startup tab and find it in the list and uncheck (also good for loads of other bullcrap that starts automatically and you don't want!)

Followed the links, downloaded the fix, and if all goes well in less than an hour I'll have an ad free computer. Damn ad-ware gets more confident every day don't it haha!

Thanks for all the help everybody!

I'll let y'all know if it works.

You are like that monkey who - until the age of two - solves problems faster and is generally better suited for life than any human two year old. Then, the human learns by solving problems, overcoming obstacles and his natural disadvantages. Later, he puts that same monkey in a cage, from where it can throw shit at him, if it doesn't eat it itself first.
