My name is Aaron, I live in Vancouver, Wa.

On May second, a witness later described a man posing as a contractor on the roof of my home. This man came into our house and stole many items and walked out the front door.
A ton of items were stolen but the most detrimental to me were my guitars and imac computer. I'm not terribly concerned about the money that it took to purchase them or the many other items taken. I don't make very much money and all of the equipment taken was earned by a career in cooking. The items were a vox ssc-33 (gold, single cut out) guitar, an agile les paul (clear gold, natural finish with red trim. Stickers all over the back. left handed), a martin backpacker in a case (natural wood, slight wear on headstock), an ESP LTD H-208, eight string black, a 27" imac, late 2010, an ESP LTD TE-202 (its their telecaster model, black with natural looking faux wear.)

I'm terribly hurt by this theft, most of the other items can be replaced but these instruments and computer are the vessels in which i make music, they are a huge part of who I am and the reason I do anything else is to afford this. I've been working on this studio for years and have been playing music for more than half of my life. There were tracks I will never be able to replace in that computer and this studio space that I had worked so hard to build was not just stolen from my home, it affects the lives of people I have shared the experience of writing, recording, jamming and working with.

The police have no leads and our story was covered on KGW and the CW, and I feel like the person that stole these items is much more than a petty thief and I don't expect to see them return I can just hope.

I really hope that some of these can be recovered because I feel a certain void that I cannot describe. Friends of mine suggested that I start a gofundme account. If you have any information please email me, I have all of the serial numbers and would do what I can to compensate for the return of these things. If you have any interest in making a difference, go to http://www.gofundme.com/aaroncain if you have any information about stolen equipment that fits this description please email burncell13@yahoo.com

I hope with some of the information given someone can stop this before this individual steals someone's computer with family photos or anything like that.

A friend of mine suggested I start posting as wide as possible, even hitting message boards for the bands I like. Thank you again for taking the time to read this.

Had to verify this isn't a scam: http://www.kgw.com/news/Vanc-couple-bur ... 04191.html

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Keep an eye out for your gear on auction sites in the next couple of days/weeks; possibly you could also inform some local guitar centers to be aware of your gear, in case the thief tries to sell them off that way. I hope something turns up.
