Comfortably Numb

I was listening to Mostly Autumn's cover of Comfortably Numb the other day, and Bryan Josh makes a pretty good fist of the solos, although that shouldn't be too surprising, given that pretty much every solo on every one of their songs is an homage to Dave Gilmour.

But that got me curious and I started checking out other people's cover versions of CN, and particulalry the guitarists. Unsurprisingly Petrucci nails it flawlessly - there is a version with Dream Theater and Queensryche doing it together. LaBrie is predictably gruesome, but Geoff Tate sings it quite nicely in fact. The Ryche guitarists just flail around while Petrucci does his thing though.

Stranger is the Roger Waters 2011 Wembley performance of The Wall with guest appearance from Gilmour himself, who manages to fuck up teh solo two or three times and sound generally rather wooden. Although perhaps it was deliberate. He does a much better job with Robert Wyatt (who reads the lyrics from a sheet of paper as if he has never heard the song before).

The Australian Pink Floyd's version is a bit flat (not in pitch, in feeling).

Anathema's version is really good.

Anyone got any other good versions? Would be a great Dev cover, goes without saying.
