Hello From Illinois & I'm Quite Embarrassed!

I only recently found out Mr. Townsend had solo music.
Yeah I feel like a huge dbag. In my defense, I never look for new music anymore (I'm turning into my dad with the "all music sucks nowadays" mantra lol), and "anymore" translates into about the last decade lol so that's one thing.
I stumbled on some of those Live By A Thread videos on YouTube, after viewing Gene Hoglan interviews/solos and instantly fell in love with the direction Townsend has taken his music.
I have a quick question about the 'Contain Us' box set: Is the signed art and 7" vinyl just a random chance at you getting one or were those sold separately in an even less-produced version of the box set? I plan to buy that first.
Anyway, I'm glad I found his solo work. Mind-blowing is putting it lightly. I have fallen in love with everything I've heard. The best part is he covers different genres with ease, where a lot of other artists have failed miserably at. A modern day Zappa, with a dash of Mike Patton, slowly stirred to a simmer with amazing guitar play.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make his concert in Chicago in a few weeks. Already have important plans I cannot get out of (standing up in a wedding *ugh*. Hopefully he'll come back around soon!
Thanks for reading. I'm glad to be here.
