So anyway, good day to you all, fellow Devy fans. My name is Al, and I'm an alco... oh, wait. Wrong meeting. And I don't even drink (much). I've been a convert to the World O' Dev since a former housemate of mine told me which album Detox was on - about 3 years after I saw the video on MTV's Headbanger's Ball (long may she rest in peace). Naturally, I was hooked. And thus I delved further and discovered the further adventures of Devin, in liquid, infinite and physical form (can I strangle these metaphors any further? Probably).
I have since then added Devin to my elite list of idols, heroes and damned good fellows, alongside Bill Hicks and Bruce Dickinson. Then he went and created Ziltoid - and life just got that little bit more awesome. (Can I still use the word "awesome" at 34? Like a fucking fiend I can!)
Anyway, expect occasional comments and insightful diatribes from me in the weeks, months and aeons to come, peppered with random quotes from various sources (usually Bill Hicks, to be honest. I rip off his material all the time. And I'm not even close to being ashamed of it). Toodles for now, carbon-based bipeds!
