Hullo people! What with all the anticipation around the new records, I thought I'd sign up to this awesome place.

My name's Violet (my driver's licence proves this, it's not some nickname I gave myself ), I'm 20, from Wimbledon in London, UK. I've been a fan of Devin's stuff since I heard Love? in 2005. I live in hope that he'll eventually come back here for a gig, as the Download '06 set (on the SYL DVD) was the best one of the weekend hands down!

Hola, my amigos and amigas! I think it's about damn time that I introduced myself and stopped lurking in the dark.

Like all of you here, I am a HUGE Devy fan. That's actually an understatement. It's a funny story how I became a fan, actually. See, I have this buddy who's a music wizard - he know's just about everything there is to know. At the time, he didn't know my name, and when I mentioned that it's Devin, he said something along the lines of "Your last name isn't Townsend, and you're not a resident of a Canada, are you?"
I didn't know what the hell he was talking about, so I decided to look up "Devin Townsend". Found out the man is a musician, so I gave his stuff a listen. The first song I listened to was Depth Charge, and I was digging it.

I'll admit that I wasn't too big of a fan then though. It wasn't until I came across Eath Day that I became entranced in the man's genius. Now, 2 years later, I have all of his album and love them all dearly.

On that was longer than it needed to be...

So, that's my story about how I became a fan.

Anyway, I usually go by Dev, but I can see how that might confuse people here.

Let's see if I stick around, shall we? P=
