I doubted a while before posting here :P But here are some dvd screen captures from a recorded gig and a "normal" picture.

I don't have many regular ones so I thought that I could link to a few of those live ones that were lying around here.

Thanks 8) It's just the old school black metal look :P
I assume the emphasis really is on the word ONSTAGE though in the end, heh.
What's interesting and cool here I think is that people with different musical backgrounds find something common in Devins music.

Haha, I didn't see that one coming. I don't know what to answer really. Except for thanks ;)
Anyway, it's courtesy of the less stellar sound on stage that night. I had to turn myself towards the drums now and then to better hear what was going on during more hectic, fast parts.

What? You post your ass on HevyDevy Forums and not expect comments? You should be glad it was a girl replying there buddy ;)

Heh, I merely linked to a couple of different screens from a gig that were left on that server space. Who would've thought that would be brought up. It's no focused close up I thought or some piece of art from a visit to the nearest copy machine lol Anyway, I guess that YOU should be glad for THAT fact then :P
But seriously, I kind of liked that picture just for the fact that it's something else than the usual "singer with half his face behind the microphone"-pictures, hehe.

On a sidenote, this was from a gig in the Netherlands actually. The sound wasn't too good that night but the light show was cool and it was all very well organized 8)

Shut up! He's about to break into a fine rendition of "The Muckin' o' Geordie's Byre." All we need is a fiddle player, good drummer and we have the makings of a ceilidh!

Heugh! :D

Hell yes!!!

p.s. the monkey was making a coffee run, and so couldn't be in the photo. He only messed up one order, but other than that, he's reliable.

Forget the monkey, I'm more curious as to why your pants were miked.

Obviously you don't know anything about recording this kind of instrument. Pants are clearly much more subdued in sound than accordians as a general rule, unless the pants in question are Baritone Tights, being the exception (research shows they have the most confident voice of all varieties of pants). Barring the extremely unlikely case that the pants pictured are indeed Baritone Tights (they are an endangered species of musical instruments, and as such not very common-- plus, his instrument is made of denim, giving me the impression it is perhaps a pair of Tenor Jeans?), I think it safe to assume that he is merely compensating for the other instrument's volume. :|

We do not ask these questions. If the sound is optimal, then dammit, mike my pants!!!

Actually, the soundhole on that thing is in a weird spot, so the picture shows me practicing some notes before actually holding the thing up to the mic, not an easy thing to do. I was recording over my friend's tracks as a joke, I don't actually play the accordion :)
