I miss Dream Theater, Cryptopsy and Children of Bodom.
And I'm starting to really miss Opeth. Their new lineup has changed the music so much.

Summoning. They have not departed, but no news or music has come from them in so long, it's like waiting for someone to wake from a coma.

Was looking at my bookshelf last night and missed a good chunk of books I used to own that were either stolen or damaged beyond repair (moreso the former). Some of them were books I can't even find anymore if I wish to replace them. They might be on EBay, but I dread whatever price (likely high).

I miss the friends I had just before everyone moved to different cities across the country. As a recovering internet addict I've thought a lot about the importance of being a part of social groups: family, friends, etc. Hard to just start building those out of thin air

Also I miss Fanta shokata. They don't sell it around here anymore.

I know exactly what you mean, when I was at uni I built up a fantastic friend base but they a lot of them moved on, me included. I moved to a city where I knew, and continue to know, no-one outside of the forced, awkard friendships with my work colleagues. I moved here with a girl and now I don't know her any more so now I'm really missing that period before I met her where there were lots of people around and I was in a city I liked.

Wow, that kinda just spilled out. Sorry.

Sometimes picking up and moving can be the best sort of thing for that situation. I speak from experience :)

I miss both of my grandfathers. My stepdad's dad went last night.
