Although it's a bit more butchery than remixing in some places, I do like it. It's much more energetic and to the point than the original.

I wouldnt doubt it. It seems when songs make it to those games you can hear EVERYTHING. I want to hear the version of Suicide and Redemption with the extended Hetfield solos.

So has anyone actually bought the cd yet? Does it sound clipped just played through a good old cd player? I'm buying mine on saturday.

Even if it does clip like f**k and even if I can only listen to one and a half songs at a time before getting incredibly irritated, I'm still going to buy it.

Still clips, probably most noticeable if you decide to do a FLAC rip like I did...kinda sad =/

I haven't bought it but I've heard from many many sources that the retail CD clips just as bad as the leak. In fact it's been said that the shittier your setup, the better it sounds (car stereo, ipod, ...)

It's listenable (to me), but it just makes me sad thinking about how ridiculously more awesome it would've sounded with proper mixing (the mastering engineer has stated that it was already brickwalled when he got the unmastered mixes)

Ok so I saw a mate last night who happened to go to the secret show at the millenium dome a few days ago. He paid a fiver

He said the Guitar Hero 3 version is unmastered and doesnt clip AT ALL! He has it in FLAC and he's doing me a data cd with the FLACs on.

Has anyone bought the big special coffin box yet? Is it worth the money?
