'zat right?

I went to school during an age when it was quite normal to be beaten with a cane for misdemeanours. Which could be as serious as 'having the top button of one's shirt undone', for example. Talking in class rresulted in getting a wooden board rubber thrown at one's head or a metre-rule across the knuckles. Not saying that was a good thing, but then again, I have yet to discover my violent side, or my obedience to authority. Same goes for many anarchists, old-school punks and rockers, revolutionaries and activists of my acquaintance, but hey, perhaps we didn't read the right social science textbooks.

Now that I am better informed i shall go out and kick someone's head in then report myself to the police.

No, i didn't mean it that way. I think it's because my english is not very good, sorry for that. Of course you are right that it doesn't "make" you use violence if you were beaten as a child. But it's evident that the statistical possibility is higher that people will use violence if they had experienced it as a child. I am sure that it's definitely a bad thing to do for educational purposes. But it is much worse if parents don't care about their children at all. So i would say an education with too much authority is better than no education. But there are much better ways to care for children and educate them well without the use of violence.

Yeah, sorry I may have over-reacted a bit there (it's my suppressed violent side coming out) - was having a very bad day in a worse week.

That kind of ignorance may get you killed someday, dude. Have you seen al-qaedas' training videos?

Consider this chilling scenario: You're at a public park- kids playing... laughing. Sun is shining, it's a beautiful day... and that is when they stike-
you try to escape via monkey bars, but it's no use... because of extensive jungle-gym training tactics, they over-come you half-way across the sand-box,
and it's lights out for Antiyou.

I hope you understand that I'm only calling you crazy out of concern for your well-being. :P

No play-ground is safe. There is no mud-puddle these guys can't cross. We are defense-less against them.

This post has an abundance of hyphens.

Peace to all, and stay vigilant!

You are a bit paranoid dude. If you choose to live in fear, Do it and hide your kids inside but don't affect people around you because some are very happy folks that actually gives a shit about terrorists :o
I don't know where you live and how bad the terrorists are there but in most cases there is no need to be vigilant. :) Chill out dude, take a glass of water, smell some flowers :D

I think you may have missed a touch of irony in kyl's post there, dude.

"That kind of ignorance may get you killed someday, dude. Have you seen al-qaedas' training videos?"
"I hope you understand that I'm only calling you crazy out of concern for your well-being. :P "

No, no, I was totally mocking al-qaeda. :P Haven't you ever seen those clips of terrorist training videos where there is a bunch of guys crossing
monkey bars? That always cracked me up... I would think: "well, if i'm ever attacked by a terrorist at a playground, I guess i'm screwed".

I still don't know what terrorist tactic could be improved upon by jungle-gym skill training, but I do hope they got some nasty blisters.

So you guys finally found him.

So Osama and her wife were unarmed and they killed him and wounded her. Why the didn't they just capture him and kill his image instead of making him a martyr?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Gadahn What a peculiar guy.
As an adolescent he became very involved in the death metal community, making contact with fans and musicians through alternative magazines.

Gadahn converted to Sunni Islam in 1995, at the age of 17, at a California mosque and is described as a "homegrown", meaning that he has converted to an ideology so firmly that he is now willing to harm his country of origin.
