Huhuhuh, I'll stop whinging now.
Been thinking about getting a smartphone lately. I currently have a Sony Ericsson W995... aaand not being able to see what people do on Instagram or participate in draw something and wordfeud makes me feel like a social outcast.

But:
1) I can't seem to make up my mind
2) I can't buy any contract phones as I need to be able to use it both in Norway and the UK (in other words, two different SIM cards)

Feel free to enlighten me on the first point though.

I've been thinking of getting a new phone as well. I currently have a Samsung C3050 which I bought nearly three years ago.
Some of the buttons don't work properly anymore, for some reason it decides when it wants to see the micro SD card (usually it ignores the card), which has been like that for at least a year. The phone also turns itself off when it wants to so I don't receive anything.
As I said I've been thinking of getting a new phone, but all phones are so expensive (for me). I don't have the money for a contract phone either, but I'd like to have a smartphone this time. Not a Samsung though. I hate it that Samsung decides how much space you have for texts and how much for pictures/videos/music instead of saying you have this much, go fill it up. Now I have to delete all my texts every few weeks while I have almost no pictures on it.

Maybe we should open a 'new phone advice' thread?

I'm guessing you don't want the most expensive phone out thar, and without contract... hmmm. Samsungs are all open so you can buy them in Norway and use them in England as well with a different SIM. The Galaxy S2 is now going to drop a lot in price because of the S3 release, you can probably get it for less than 3.5k in Norway without a contract. Or for 1 NOK with contract. You also have the Galaxy W which is very similar but not so fancy. The new HTC One series are also all open and come with Android 4 out of the box, ranging from cheapest to most expensive; One V, One S, One X. They're all pretty awesome if you ask me. The One S is incredibly secksy with the paperthin body and Super-AMOLED screen. Also, Beats audio omfgwtf.
