Un-awesome: Boston, of course. I can't even begin to fathom how frightening that must have been.

That footage of the factory explosion with the little girl screaming - that was chilling.

What an immense explosion.

Here's to the end of a shitty week!

Amen to that. Judging from the past week, good news is needed all over the world, it seems.

So one of the two suspects, the "Tsarnaev brorthers" is dead, after a violent crime spree which resulted in them killing a cop and critically injuring another. Fucking arseholes.

I wouldn't normally do this, but here's the one on the loose they are still trying to find, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev:

Any forum members, lurkers, visitors or otherwise who are in the area, stay away from this man, get safe and call the police. Boston police are telling people to stay in their homes and not answer the doors unless it's the police. Let's hope they capture him without any further injury or loss of life, and he can be held to account for his crimes.

*update - media reporting that the police may have him cornered in a suburb. We can only hope no one else is hurt.

Well done to their uncle for his attempts to separate these two murderers from his family and his community, and to remind people that the actions of two people don't represent an entire ethnic group.

Sorry for the double post but it feels a bit separate to the last one. On top of quite a bit of sh*t that's been mounting up recently, out of the blue today I got made redundant.

I promise I'll stop moaning on these forums now :)

Thanks :) This might be the kick in the butt I need to get out of this city. Would have rather left on my own terms but I guess things don't always work that way. Getting together options now... I can't pretend I'm not a little excited that things have to change now to be honest.

RIP Chrissy Amphlett, lead singer of the Divinyls. She lost her battle with breast cancer and was only 53.

One of my wifey's absolute favourite singers. Sad indeed.

Here are a couple of my favourite Divinyls songs, just cos.

Superficial un-awesomeness.

Workplace politics and hypocrisy. I shall spare you the rant, suffice to say I am finding it difficult to maintain one iota of respect for certain people. So many cliques in this place, it's like being in high school again.

Fortunately not all workplaces are super cliquey. Unfortunately it's in our DNA to be political (and for some of us douchebaggery seems to come naturally too, heh).

I fucking hate arse lickers, but it's their integrity they are sacrificing, so, y'know. Fuck em.

Hope it improves for you.

Thanks. Maybe tomorrow I'll see more colors than just red.
