Avoiding doing any actual work while listening to Ki and waiting for the long weekend, which begins today.

Just picked up my Ovation from the repairman because the b-string had some strange resonance, and now that's partially gone or at least down to acceptable levels.

Currently thinking about whether to spend my newly-found cash on buying the remainder of the Dev albums I don't have yet. Biggest question marks are DevLab and The Hummer, I literally have no idea what to expect from them. Also want the SYL: Chaos Years thing for the dvd content, and then some more Rush and King's X album. Maybe throw in a Terria shirt.

...I want too much crap. :P

Devlab and The Hummer rule!
Devlab has a pretty dark mood, ambient type of stuf with lots of samples going on
The Hummer is reeeeaaallllly relaxing, great music to fall asleep to, relaxing ambient sounds and hypnotizing drones

And right now im trying not to download the new Sonic Youth album

Nice! I didn't know you had one of those. Those are really cool guitars. For the longest time I had no idea what they were called, who made them, and what their deal was. They look spiffy.

Here's a nice example of some fierce Ovation

Hey yeah, I've known the song (and artist) for a long time already, but I never noticed she was playing an Ovation in that video. Cool stuff. I dunno why I went for an Ovation when I wanted to get me a semi-acoustic guitar. Something about the whole plastic and strange holes thing maybe.

I should probably reword that statement.

...

I really really should.

I'm compiling a list of favorite tid-bits and memorable pieces from songs. Some of the most insignificant or unnoticeable nuances in music really stand out for me. I want to remember them. I'd note 3:56 of ".3" by Porcupine Tree. Or I'd note 13:10 of "Anesthetize" by the Tree on my nerd list. Those two examples in particular are parts where Colin Edwin comes back into the song with a real deep-groove entrance.

I'm just a list person. Lists everywhere. I love lists.

I'm also waiting for dinner. Usually I eat at 8, not 9, but my mom is making her special chicken Kiev dinner, so it's worth the wait.
