It's far more organic and open here in northern Japan. The plastic you describe is more in the cities. It CAN be expensive, but if you get to know people, and look around and compare, it really isn't that bad. As far as the social thing....it's more formal than "conservative", and much more based on rank than I am used to. But, any counry wherein the people take you to karaoke to get blind drunk so that they can say what they think without fear of reprisal and sell porn and used panties in vending machines and invent "cosplay" merely for the chance to wear as little clothing as possible, (it seems sometimes)...I wouldn't say that they are too conservative. Just...reserved in the company of strangers.

Oh, and driving through Japan at night? Awesome.

Haha!

My older brother (who likes Devy) has been to Japan twice now. The first time he told me that he went a bit "whoah!" when he thought "Here I am driving in Japan, at night".

Biggest grin on my face when that song comes on in the car. Of course, it's 'cause it's on the CD I have in the player, but that doesn't stop the grin.

"Here I am driving in Japan, during the day", just doesn't have the same ring:

Also, does it snow in Ireland?

Very rarely down here in the south of Ireland. If it snows at all it normally melts as soon as it hits the ground. The north of the country can get pretty heavy snowfall, though.

woo hoo!
we get all the snow!
screw you 'deep south' folk with your mild climate and your north atlantic drift and your great surfing conditions and...

im gonna stop now.

Love the beard! The redness'll be appreciated in Ireland if ye do move here, you'll fit right in!! And is the design on the shirt a cabbage?

I changed the goatee a bit, it's not as wide across now, which makes it look longer.. I think it reached it's terminal length a year or so ago. :( Anyway, the t shirt is actually a tree with Celtic knotwork.. I'm sure I'm wearing it in another picture where it's in better view, if she wants to post one.

I think it's very silly that Hughie has a red beard, and browny hair. He doesn't dye anything, it just grows that way :P

And as for another picture.....lemme look...

here, got one!

Hughie said he didn't like his face, so I cropped his silly jester smile out :P
